Our newsletter this month brings together a diverse set of interests and unique journeys, that all connect with a passion for local food and hot sauce.

We start at Kitchen Garden Farm, in Western Mass. If you're interested in learning more about farming, going down the path that people say is impossible, and learning about building community and a crew, tune in to this episode of the Craft Hot Sauce Podcast!

Hey there, It's Brian from Craft Hot Sauce and Craic Sauce here with our first newsletter of 2021. I hope you had a relaxing holiday, but we're turning up the temp with some new hot sauces and updates! From farm, to ferment, to fire in your mouth! Kitchen Garden Farm & Fraktured Sauces harvest peppers and so much more!
There’s nothing quite like the vibrant colors of freshly harvested peppers glistening out in the sun. A pepper harvest tradition that started with 150 habanero and ghost peppers in my parent's garden in 2014 has steadily evolved into over 900 pounds of locally harvested organic peppers in 2020.

I'm about to be really busy this month prepping peppers after the harvest, going to some markets, and slanging Craic Sauce at Hot Sauce Alley at Chilifest, put on by my friends Kitchen Garden Farms in Western Mass.

Before the craziness ensued, I went out west with my brother and cousin to visit our cousin in Seattle, and then we all went down to the PDX Hot Sauce Expo together.

Tis the season for seeing beautiful chili peppers coming in and dreaming up new hot sauces. I've been working on a fermented Louisiana-style sauce that hits this past month and tried dozens of creative homemade hot sauces at the Chilifest Hot Sauce contest put on by Kitchen Garden Farm.
Happy Labor Day weekend! Kitchen Garden Farms puts on an awesome hot sauce festival, and it will be my first one as a vendor. If you're in the New England area, Chilifest on September 15th and 16th is worth going to. It's right next to a corn maze, and they have a chili cook-off and hot sauce competition, spicy food, local beer, and great live music
Hey there, My New Year’s Resolution was to send our Craft Hot Sauce followers an email on the first of every month. So I’m starting from Jan 17th today! I’m giving you a New Year’s challenge to accomplish quickly. First, check out this calendar: The 2018 World Calendar for Hot Sauce and Chilifests Second, if you’ve...
You could almost say January was the month of Sriracha, as we had two Craft Hot Sauce maker stories on purely Sriracha-based companies. Both Jojo's Sriracha and Kitchen Garden Farm are progressive leaders in the small-batch Sriracha area, and it's great to see they are both organic and Non-GMO. We also had Red Hawk Premium Pepper from Pennsylvania featured.
