What's up, Are you up for a little challenge this month? I’ve been seeing all these chili harvest photos down under and thought it would be cool to see what our Craft Hot Sauce followers come up with. So here’s the challenge! Go out and cook up a new or different batch of hot sauce...

I encountered a tricky little situation during a hot sauce cook one January Sunday morning in our commercial kitchen in Lowell, which gave me some perspective on failure and growth. My co-cook Ben and I were making a 5 gallon batch of 40 Shades of Green Chilli, a sauce I’ve made 20 times before.

Hey! Over the past couple of weeks, you have probably seen a lot of decade-in-review articles. I tried to avoid being repetitive, but upon reflection, it was a huge decade for craft hot sauce, and I’m too grateful for your involvement to not say something. Some of you were our first dozen followers back in 2014...

What's up!! How was your Thanksgiving? It has gotta be hot sauce's favorite holiday with all the different pairing opportunities. My favorite combo was the Golden Pumpkin Craic Sauce with spicy curry squash.

We have a few new Craft Hot Sauce profiles from sauce makers from Ireland, Texas, and Thailand. We also updated our online shop with sauces from people that have done craft hot sauce profiles or were guests on our podcast.

Hi there, Happy Day of the Dead and All Saints’ Day! I’m writing this from a festive New Orleans where I've been partaking in the Halloween celebrations this week. I actually can't believe I got this email out on time! Did you have a chance to listen to our latest Craft Hot Sauce podcast with Mikey Vee?
Hi there, Happy Harvest Season! No lie, my left foot, and hands are still burning as I type this, 24 hours after chopping up some ghost peppers. In years past, I learned my lesson of being careful going to the bathroom after chopping peppers, but now I know flip flops aren’t suitable footwear for chile chopping!

I'm about to be really busy this month prepping peppers after the harvest, going to some markets, and slanging Craic Sauce at Hot Sauce Alley at Chilifest, put on by my friends Kitchen Garden Farms in Western Mass.

Before the craziness ensued, I went out west with my brother and cousin to visit our cousin in Seattle, and then we all went down to the PDX Hot Sauce Expo together.

Hi there, Happy Spring! Hope you've been keeping well. March was a busy month of production, making some of our biggest batches of Craic Sauce yet, but during that time I also got to meet a few folks in the craft hot sauce community. One of them was Chef Nino, who is a chef, farmer, and entrepreneur in Zimbabwe...
Did you check out our latest podcast with Disco Hot Sauce from Southeast London? They talked about planning the first London hot sauce festival this coming April, the growing hot sauce scene in London, and their plans outlined in their kickstarter, which only has six days left! Check it out on The Craft Hot Sauce Podcast.
Hi there, What happens when four hot sauce makers apply for a trademark? That's not the start of a bad joke but the topic of the latest Craft Hot Sauce podcast! I interviewed several hot sauce makers, and we all spoke about our past experiences and lessons learned from registering a trademark for a hot sauce brand...
Hi there, It finally feels like spring is here in Boston, and I hope it's getting warm where you are too. The super-hot peppers I've germinated the past couple months are going into the garden, and I'm dreaming up new hot sauces for Craic Sauce. Pepper growers are ramping up their spring schedule, and one of them...
Hi there, How was your March? Mine was a blast. I hosted an Irish taco pop-up at my commercial kitchen and sampled all different types of craft hot sauces to about 200 people. The Guinness braised corned beef and cabbage tacos were delicious. :) It was an extra special day for me...
