About the Sauce: The Bronx Green Hot Sauce is made using 6 all-natural ingredients, grown at community gardens in New York City. It was my favorite verde hot sauce out of a dozen at the NYC Hot Sauce Expo.
The sweet yet bitter bite of the apple cider vinegar is masterfully balanced by the garlic-forward base and fiery spice from the locally sourced Serrano peppers. A true explosion of flavor, harmoniously fusing to pleasure your palate.
Uses: It's a great every day sauce that goes on almost anything, but I will always use the Bronx Hot Sauce with Bloody Marys and enchiladas.
Ingredients: Apple Cider Vinegar, Serrano Peppers, Garlic, Onion, Cane Sugar, Salt
Size: 5 oz.
Maker Story: Small Axe Peppers is a community and mission forward company that makes delicious hot sauces from working with community growers across 15 cities in America.
In 2014 they started out as the Bronx Hot Sauce donating and distributing pepper seeds to community gardens and then would buy those peppers at a premium and make a delicious hot sauce to sell and reinvest the proceeds to support community gardens. They have expanded their hot sauce line and their impact. Learn all about the program and story by listening to the Craft Hot Sauce Podcast.
